Cold Laser Therapy | A Unique Approach to Pet Wellness

At Aliso Beach Animal Clinic we use an integrative and boutique approach to your patient’s care. This means that each pet will receive individualized care based on age, breed, budget, and owner’s goals.

A perfect example of this individualized care is in the treatment of arthritis in older dogs and cats. While we have medications, surgeries, and supplements available for our expert usage, some clients will prefer a holistic approach to treatment that includes cold laser therapy.

Cold laser, or K-laser, therapy is holistic, non-invasive treatment for pain and inflammation that works by increasing blood flow to an area, increasing your pet’s endorphin release, relaxing muscle tissues, and decreasing inflammation.

Clinical uses include surgical or wound healing, arthritis, post-operative care, and anti-inflammatory treatments with the primary use in the treatment of chronic orthopedic pain.

Treatments are done in-clinic for 5-10 minutes and are typically done once to twice a month with patients experiencing a decrease in pain, increase in mobility, and enjoying a higher quality of life. Side effects are minimal to none with no long-term stress on your pet’s organs or ongoing health.

Unfortunately, the majority of our laser cases come to us as last ditch efforts to help a pet with end-stage arthritis, and it’s my hope that more pets will come to us earlier in the course of disease so that we can help them live longer, happier lives. We also offer acupuncture and complete nutraceutical supplement consultations for complete natural pain management programs.

Please call us to try cold laser treatments for your pet.
