PRESURGICAL BLOOD WORK:
We require a complete blood panel for all anesthetic procedures on pets over 7 years of age.
We strongly recommend a complete blood panel or a pre-op plus panel for animals under 7 years of age, including all puppies and kittens.
***This blood work should be within 1 month of the procedure***
We require an intravenous catheter and fluids for all pets undergoing anesthesia over 7 years of age or with diagnosed and established medical problems.
In order to comply with current veterinary standards of care, we also strongly recommend an intravenous catheter and fluids for all pets undergoing any anesthetic or surgical procedure.
By law we must examine every pet before any surgery or dental procedures. This must be done on the day of the procedure.
Both Cats and Dogs should be current on Rabies vaccines.
Dogs should be current on DHPP and Bordetella. Cats should be current on FVRCP.
We have Vaccine Clinics every Tuesday.
To avoid complications with the general anesthetic, we advise “no food after midnight the night before the procedure. Water is okay.
DROP OFF TIMES:
We like to have your pet admitted for surgery between 7:30 and 9:00 A.M. This gives us time to properly examine him or her, sedate and prepare your pet for anesthesia.
